'Networking' Workshop
In line with our conference theme, "treasure every encounter, for it will never recur", in this session we will define the term 'Network'. Participants will walk away with tools demonstrating how to find, build and leverage networks you are interested in and those you are already part of. We will dive into the world of LinkedIn, learn skills to make small talk meaningful, and practice real life networking scenarios.

Improving JSA
Meet, discuss, and share ideas with other JSA boards and members from across the Midwest to improve your universities JSA. Each school will have a representative present their schools JSA events, structure, and any other information the school would like to share. This will be followed by a group discussions regarding different topics.
MJSA will be arranging four-person rooms at Quality Inn West Lafayette for two nights (10/11 and 10/12) until 9/27 (end of early registration). Please check below for prices.
If you do not have a complete group of 4 and would like us to arrange roommates for you, please book your room through our website and pay the hotel fee. You may request up to two preferred roommates during the booking process. We will match you with up to three other participants based on availability.
If you do not have a preferred roommate, you will be randomly assigned to a room with participants of the same gender indicated on your booking form.
If you already have a complete group of 4 and wish to room together, please call Quality Inn West Lafayette directly at 1-765-463-5511. Mention the MJSA room block and arrange payment directly with the hotel. In this case, you do not need to pay the hotel fee through our website.

If you have a complete group of 4 and are booking directly through Quality Inn, it will be 70 dollars pre-tax per room per night (about 35 dollars per person for two nights pre-tax). Please mention the MJSA room block when booking.
If you do not have a complete group of 4 and are booking through our website, the cost will be 45 dollars post-tax per person for two nights.

To request a roommate, please write the other person’s full name in the designated text box during checkout. For groups that total four people, please call the phone number listed in the description and pay Quality Inn directly.
If you have less than four people, you and your requested roommates may have randomly assigned roommates to equal a total of four people. When assigning roommates, we may also ask your gender identity in case you/another attendee are randomly placed. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Travel Reimbursement
MJSA will reimburse a portion of the travel cost. The value of the reimbursement is determined by the distance from your respective university to Purdue University West Lafayette multiplied by the IRS mileage rate of $0.14 per mile for a charitable organization. (Per car for at least 4 people, including the driver.)
